The best-known beach on the French side is Orient Bay: 2 km of white sand with beach clubs, kitesurfing and a naturist section at the southern end. Nearby is the Cul-de-Sac jetty, five minutes by boat from Pinel Island, and the marine reserve with Tintamarre island.
